1win CS2 Team Earns $100,000 Bonus After Upsetting Team Spirit

The 1win Counter-Strike 2 team defeated top-ranked Team Spirit 2-0. This win secured 1win a playoff berth at Spodek Arena and earned them a $100,000 bonus from the 1win owner for the significant achievement.

This victory caps a strong group stage performance for 1win. After an initial loss to Vitality, the team rallied with three consecutive series wins against G2, Legacy, and Spirit, finishing the group stage with a 3-1 record and advancing to the playoffs.

The win also propelled 1win to 14th place in Valve's regional rankings, strengthening the organization's standing in the race for the upcoming Singapore Major.

The 1win owner commented on the outcome, highlighting changes made to the organization's esports division just three months prior.

“Today our 1win team beat the best team in the world, Team Spirit, 2-0 on CS2 and entered the world top 14. Exactly three months ago, we decided to change our approach to the esports division, and the results did not take long. The team will receive a $100,000 bonus from me for such a performance,” the 1win owner stated on his official Telegram channel.

“Learning about this $100,000 bonus after such a victory feels incredible, of course. We knew how important this match was and really wanted to show what we are capable of. Beating this team, reaching the playoffs, and receiving such support from the 1win owner makes this moment even more special. But we still have things to prove, playoffs are coming,” added nafany, the captain of the 1win team, after the match.

1win will now continue their ESL Pro League Season 24 campaign in the playoffs at Spodek Arena in Katowice.
