Even though the Steam Summer Sale has concluded, gamers can still acquire free titles. Currently, four games are available to claim on Steam at no cost for a limited period.
The games offered are Fantasy General II, Field of Glory II: Medieval, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, and Caribbean Crashers. Players must claim them before July 17th to add them permanently to their Steam library.
Three of the titles, excluding Caribbean Crashers, are from the publisher Slitherine, known for strategy games. Slitherine is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is hosting a sale. These three free games from Slitherine have received `Very Positive` ratings from Steam users, with Battlestar Galactica Deadlock being particularly popular and highly rated among them.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, developed by Black Lab Games, puts players in command of the Colonial Fleet during the First Cylon War, engaging in turn-based 3D space combat. Black Lab Games is also the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector.
For fans of strategy games but perhaps not the Battlestar Galactica franchise, Slitherine publishes other licensed strategy titles such as Starship Troopers: Terran Command and Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance.
Caribbean Crashers is the only game among the free offerings not from Slitherine. Developed by Bloxhill (one of only two games they have on Steam), it`s typically priced at $2.
Beyond these Steam giveaways, Amazon Prime members can also claim free games, including seven titles in July and four extra games for Prime Day.
