WWE 2K24 Server Shutdown and Delisting Dates Confirmed by 2K Sports

Publisher 2K Sports has officially announced the end-of-life dates for the wrestling title, **WWE 2K24**. The game, along with all associated downloadable content (DLC) and virtual currency, will be permanently removed from sale (delisted) on **January 31, 2026**. Following this, the online servers for WWE 2K24 will be deactivated on **March 31, 2026**.

This information, initially disclosed on the game’s Steam page, applies universally to both the PC and console versions of the title.

Impact on Gameplay

Once the servers go dark in March 2026, all game features requiring online servers will cease to function. This means that multiplayer, online communities, and any other network-dependent functionalities will be inaccessible.

The game’s core offline experiences, such as the `Play Now` and `Showcase` modes, will still be fully playable after the online services are terminated.

The decision to shut down the servers was initially confirmed by 2K Sports back on December 8, although the news only recently received widespread public coverage.

Context and History

WWE 2K24 was released in March 2024, meaning the title will have had an online lifespan of approximately two years. While the impending closure is regrettable for the dedicated online player base, this process is a common industry practice, particularly within the yearly sports game genre for 2K and other major publishers.

For context, 2K previously retired online services for other sports titles, including The Golf Club 2019 and PGA Tour 2K21, in September of this year. The newest iteration in the series, WWE 2K25, was released in March 2025.
