Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Update: Performance Fixes & Freebies

Just one day after its launch, publisher 505 Games has released an urgent update for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This patch aims to address various performance issues, fix bugs, and ensure players receive their missing preorder bonuses. As a token of apology, all game owners will now receive the Original Soundtrack DLC for free.

The patch notes specify that the low latency mode can now be manually toggled and is no longer enabled by default. VRAM optimization has also been implemented for graphics cards with lower memory capacity. 505 Games confirmed they`ve resolved crashes that could occur immediately after the company logo appeared during startup, as well as stuttering experienced during finisher animations.

Players who preordered either the Standard or Deluxe edition will now correctly receive their designated content rewards following this update. Should the bonuses not appear immediately, the publisher advises relogging into the game and claiming them from the donation box located within the Reverent Temple.

Beyond these technical corrections, minor adjustments have been made to gameplay balance, particularly concerning the landmine encounter in Chapter Two. This change is intended to provide a “more fair and enjoyable challenge,” with both the number of landmines and their damage output being reduced.

In addition to the full patch notes detailed below, 505 Games announced that a more comprehensive patch is currently under development and is anticipated to roll out “in the next few days.” Players who continue to experience issues are encouraged to reach out to the customer support team or consult the game`s FAQ page for further assistance.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers garnered over 115,000 concurrent players at launch. However, its Steam reviews are “mostly negative,” predominantly due to widespread complaints regarding performance optimization.
