Студия Machine Games, ответственная за перезапуск культового шутера Wolfenstein с играми Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) и Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017), а также спин-оффы Youngblood (2019) и VR-проект Cyberpilot (2019), выражает сильное желание продолжить серию. Креативный директор Аксель Торвениус надеется вернуться к истории Уильяма `Би Джея` Бласковица и выпустить третью основную часть Wolfenstein.
Торвениус подтвердил, что команда изначально задумывала перезапуск Wolfenstein как полноценную трилогию. Machine Games, the studio behind the acclaimed reboot of the classic shooter Wolfenstein with titles like Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017), as well as spin-offs Youngblood (2019) and the VR experience Cyberpilot (2019), is eager to continue the franchise. Creative Director Axel Torvenius has expressed a strong desire to return to the story of William `B.J.` Blazkowicz for a third main Wolfenstein game.
Torvenius confirmed that the team has always envisioned the Wolfenstein reboot as a complete trilogy. According to him, the narrative arc and B.J.`s character development were planned from the very early stages of The New Order`s creation. “We are not done with Wolfenstein yet; we have a story to tell,” he emphasized, expressing hope for the realization of the concluding chapter.
While there`s no official word on a new game, Amazon is reportedly developing a Wolfenstein TV series for Prime Video. The show will be produced by Kilter Films, known for their work on the Fallout series, in collaboration with Machine Games. It is believed that the series` plot will be based on the storyline of the rebooted game franchise.
Currently, Machine Games, now part of Microsoft following the ZeniMax acquisition, recently released the adventure game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which also continues the tradition of fighting Nazis. The first DLC expansion for the Indiana Jones game, Indiana Jones And The Order Of Giants, launched earlier this month. Furthermore, Machine Games and Bethesda plan to port Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to the Switch 2 in 2026.
