Max Hejtmánek, a former Czech-to-English translator for Warhorse Studios, the developer behind the upcoming game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has publicly claimed he was dismissed from his position and subsequently replaced by artificial intelligence. According to a post shared on the game’s official Reddit page, Hejtmánek was informed during a meeting that his role would become “obsolete” in the following month.
The reasoning provided for this decision was that the RPG development team intends to transition to using AI for “all translations” moving forward. This strategic shift is reportedly aimed at making the company “more effective” and achieving significant “financial savings.” This incident highlights a growing trend of AI integration within creative industries and its potential impact on human employment.
