VTuber Ironmouse Accuses VShojo of Withholding Charity Funds and Quits Agency

Ironmouse, a highly successful VTuber on Twitch, has declared her departure from VShojo, the agency that previously represented her. Having joined VShojo in November 2020, Ironmouse claims in a recent YouTube video that the agency owes her a substantial sum of money and, more critically, failed to forward over $515,000 she raised for the Immunodeficiency Foundation charity.

Ironmouse lives with a rare primary immune deficiency called Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID), which leaves her with a severely compromised immune system. This condition often confines her to bed, leading to frequent illnesses and requiring her to live in isolation. When she first ventured into streaming, Ironmouse`s primary goal was to connect with people and “make some friends,” but she was hesitant to reveal her true identity online. It was then that a friend suggested she use an anime avatar, leading her to become a VTuber.

Upon being invited to join VShojo in 2020, Ironmouse deliberated extensively on whether she could adapt to being a corporate VTuber. She ultimately concluded that maintaining her anonymity and entrusting VShojo with payment management were compelling enough reasons to proceed, officially joining in November 2020. Since then, alongside her online friend CDawg (Connor), she has collectively raised over $4 million for the Immunodeficiency Foundation through various fundraising initiatives, including Twitch subathons, where viewers subscribe to support the cause, and Cycleathons, where Connor cycles long distances to collect donations, among other charitable events.

Ironmouse addresses her situation with VShojo in a video.

Ironmouse has organized two subathons, committing half of her generated revenue to the Immunodeficiency Foundation. She reports that the first subathon proceeded smoothly, with VShojo, which managed her Twitch payments, successfully donating over $329,000 to the foundation. Her second subathon, held in September 2024, shattered the all-time Twitch subscriber record, reaching 306,621 subscribers, previously held by Kai Cenat. This monumental effort raised over $515,000 for the Immunodeficiency Foundation. Ironmouse states she again instructed VShojo to transfer these funds, but as she explains, “Unfortunately, still a year later, VShojo has not paid the charity.”

Ironmouse emphasizes the profound personal significance of the Immunodeficiency Foundation, recounting how it provided immense support during her diagnosis when she felt “scared” and uncertain about her future. She emotionally shared, “This entire situation has broken me. I just wanted to do something good and to give back to a community that helped me, but unfortunately that`s not the case.” Ironmouse also confirmed her desire to speak more openly about the matter but stated she has been advised to await legal proceedings.

In a show of solidarity with Ironmouse, several other VTubers affiliated with VShojo have started removing the agency`s name from their social media profiles. They have also announced upcoming streams to their communities to elaborate on their future plans, sparking speculation that this contentious situation could prompt more talents to exit VShojo.

VTuber Kson recently streamed to confirm her own departure from VShojo, alleging that the agency has failed to pay her since September 2024. She stated, “I have been lied to from the company a lot about the situation. My payments stopped last September. I was asking what`s going on for a long time, multiple times. All they said was, `It`s going to be paid,` and it was never paid, and I think it will never be.” Kson further clarified that her delay in disclosing this information and leaving the agency stemmed from her doubts about ever receiving the outstanding payments, adding, “That was scary for me.”

Kuro has also announced that he “submitted a leave contract” eleven days prior, though it remains unclear if he was aware of Ironmouse`s allegations at the time of his request.

VShojo has faced increasing scrutiny recently, with three talents, alongside its former CMO and director of talent, having departed the agency since May 2025. Former VShojo members have also addressed the Ironmouse situation; Zentreya, who left earlier this month, posted her “heart hurts for the VShojo community” and urged mutual support. Current VShojo members Kuro Kurenai, Apricot, Henya, Hime Hajime, AmaLee, and Michi Mochievee have publicly expressed their support for Ironmouse.

Ironmouse has provided a direct Tiltify link to raise funds for the Immunodeficiency Foundation, which has already collected over $334,000 at the time of this report. She plans to continue her streaming career as an independent VTuber.
