Vampire Survivors and Balatro Join Forces in Exciting Free Crossover Update

Fans of the roguelite and roguelike genres are celebrating today as two prominent indie titles, Vampire Survivors and Balatro, unveil a free collaboration. Vampire Survivors, known for its intense gameplay where players fend off endless hordes of night creatures, now incorporates jesters, planet cards, and unique art elements directly from Balatro, one of 2024`s biggest hits.

The official announcement provides a clear summary: “Now you can use Balatro characters in Vampire Survivors whilst using Vampire Survivors card skins in Balatro.” The creators also extended their gratitude to Reddit user mranonymous24690 for initiating this “ultimate indie game ship” many months ago.

The announcement trailer offers a glimpse into the new content, showcasing planetary cards and characters like the banana joker Cavendish, orbiting the main character and efficiently clearing enemies. This new update for Vampire Survivors, version 1.14, aptly titled “Ante Chamber,” is available starting today on Steam, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. Players on Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store can look forward to its arrival on October 31.

History of Collaborations

Both Vampire Survivors and Balatro are no strangers to crossovers, having previously engaged with other major franchises. Vampire Survivors has notably partnered with games such as Among Us and Contra, while Balatro has released cosmetic card designs featuring characters from beloved series including Assassin`s Creed, Fallout, Stardew Valley, and several other popular titles.
