Unexpected Return: Lego Star Wars Phantom Menace BrickHeadz Back for Prime Day

The Lego Star Wars: The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz collection has made a surprising reappearance exclusively on Amazon, now offered at a discounted price of $38 during Prime Day, down from its original $55. This particular deal stands out as an unexpected addition among the official Star Wars Lego Prime Day offers.

This set, which includes six characters from Episode I, was initially launched last year as a Lego Store exclusive to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace. It remained exclusive until Lego officially retired it in December. While Amazon occasionally restocks retired Lego sets, those items are typically already sold out on the platform when they reappear.

Now, however, this BrickHeadz set has been effectively brought back from retirement as a specific Amazon exclusive. One might speculate this revival is a nod to Jar Jar Binks` unique status, or perhaps simply a testament to his perceived power.

About The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz Set

This 732-piece set features buildable BrickHeadz figures of six key characters from Star Wars Episode I:

  • Jar Jar Binks
  • Anakin Skywalker
  • Darth Maul
  • Queen Amidala
  • Captain Panaka
  • Qui-Gon Jinn

With 732 pieces for six characters, each blocky figure averages around 122 pieces, though the young Anakin figure is, fittingly, smaller. The standard-sized figures, including Jar Jar and Darth Maul, measure approximately 2.5 inches tall.

BrickHeadz figures are known for their distinct, blocky, and somewhat cartoonish appearance, differing from the more realistic buildable figures in the Lego Star Wars lineup. Nevertheless, the designs accurately reflect the characters` appearances and costumes from the film. For example, Anakin is depicted in his podracing attire, Darth Maul holds his signature double-bladed red lightsaber, and Queen Amidala is instantly recognizable in her elaborate dress and hairstyle.

While some fans might wish for a larger, more detailed Lego display model of Jar Jar Binks, similar to those available for characters like Chewbacca or C-3PO, the BrickHeadz version offers a fun, stylized representation for collectors.

Beyond this specific BrickHeadz offer, Amazon is also featuring various other discounts on Lego Star Wars sets, sometimes price-matching promotions found at other major retailers.
