Gameplay & Remaster Features
The remasters of Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3 + 4 feature updated graphics, refined gameplay mechanics, new levels, an expanded skater roster, and a fresh soundtrack. The core skateboarding mechanics remain excellent and highly satisfying, complemented by a great music selection and well-designed new environments.
However, a notable change in THPS 4`s remaster is the absence of its original free-roaming career mode. Developer Iron Galaxy Studios opted to replace it with the traditional two-minute run structure, aligning it with the earlier games. While the revamped THPS 4 is still enjoyable, it deviates from its original design, potentially surprising long-time fans.
