This Device Will Scan And Sort Your Trading Cards For You

For enthusiasts of trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, or Star Wars Unlimited, the challenge of managing extensive card collections is well-known. Many collectors find themselves with large unsorted piles, awaiting the tedious task of organization into storage boxes or binders. A new company, CardMill, is launching a Kickstarter campaign for a device designed to automate this process, promising to revolutionize card sorting.

The CardMill device can automatically sort up to 300 cards in a single batch, simultaneously logging them into a dedicated web portal for convenient access. This versatile sorter can be configured to organize cards by various criteria, including set, color, type, or alphabetically, as detailed on CardMill`s official website.

The Kickstarter campaign highlights initial support for popular games, with plans for broader compatibility in the future. Currently, the device is compatible with:

  • Magic: The Gathering
  • Pokémon
  • Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • Disney Lorcana
  • One Piece
  • Star Wars Unlimited
  • Flesh and Blood

Utilizing “AI-powered card recognition,” the CardMill device is designed to evolve and improve alongside a user`s growing collection. Furthermore, its accompanying web portal will provide real-time TCGPlayer pricing data, an invaluable feature for collectors interested in assessing or selling their cards.

The CardMill Kickstarter is scheduled to launch on July 22nd at 9 AM CDT (7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT). Early supporters will benefit from special pricing: the first 1000 backers can acquire the CardMill scanning device for $350, with subsequent pledges priced at $400. Deliveries are anticipated to commence in December.
