The Ghoul from Fallout Series Enters Fallout 76’s Burning Springs Expansion

The highly acclaimed character, The Ghoul, famously portrayed by Walton Goggins in Prime Video`s successful Fallout TV series, is making his way to the game world of Fallout 76. Players will soon be able to encounter him within the new Burning Springs expansion, slated for release in early December. For eager fans, a public test server (PTS) for the expansion will become accessible on October 2, offering an early glimpse of the new content.

While players won`t be able to play as The Ghoul, they will find him operating out of “The Last Resort,” a bar located in Burning Springs, Ohio. His primary role in the expansion involves assigning players various bounty hunter missions. These assignments range from “grunt hunts,” which are lower-tier bounties suitable for gaining experience and occasional legendary items, to more formidable targets that can be acquired by spending caps. The most challenging tasks are dubbed “head hunts,” described as open to anyone daring enough to undertake them. These require significant skill and often player cooperation to successfully complete.

The Burning Springs expansion also introduces another pivotal new character: the Rust King. Depicted as an intelligent yet intensely violent super mutant, he is described as “super threatening.” Players will collaborate with the Rust King as they navigate the treacherous environment of Burning Springs. The Fallout 76 development team hinted in a recent discussion that the Rust King`s influence might extend beyond this particular expansion, suggesting a larger future role.

In related news, Bethesda recently unveiled an update for Fallout 76 aimed at simplifying the C.A.M.P. building process. Furthermore, the studio debuted a new trailer for the second season of the Fallout TV series, which is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on December 17.
