The Elder Scrolls Online: Free Play Event During QuakeCon

The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is currently offering a free-play event as part of QuakeCon 2025. This limited-time opportunity allows players on PC/Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation to explore the vast world of Tamriel without cost until August 12. It`s an ideal chance for both new adventurers and returning veterans to experience ESO`s expansive universe and engaging gameplay.

During this event, participants gain full access to the ESO base game. This includes all four powerful classes—Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar, and Dragonknight—along with 24 diverse zones brimming with quests and dungeons. Players can also engage in competitive Player-vs-Player (PvP) combat through Battlegrounds and the large-scale Alliance War, offering plenty of action for solo explorers and team players alike.

Any progress made during previous free-play events is automatically saved, allowing returning players to seamlessly pick up their adventures. New players who create an ESO account during this period will receive 500 complimentary Crowns, providing a helpful boost for in-game store purchases.

For those wishing to continue their journey beyond the event, the full version of The Elder Scrolls Online is available for purchase. Both the ESO base game and the 2025 Premium Edition are currently on sale, making it an excellent time to invest in your ongoing exploration of Tamriel.

In related Elder Scrolls news, the team behind Skyblivion clarified that their unofficial project is a comprehensive remake of Oblivion, not just a remaster.
