Stephanie Beatriz Unveils Explosive Action & Risque Heist in Twisted Metal Season 2

Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled ride as Twisted Metal returns to Peacock for its highly anticipated second season. Stephanie Beatriz, who embodies the formidable character Quiet, has revealed that fans can expect an even more intense and action-packed experience, pushing the boundaries far beyond what Season 1 offered.

Elevated Action and Practical Stunts

Beatriz hinted at a significant increase in high-octane sequences, stating that while Season 1 featured approximately three major action-centric episodes, Season 2 boasts a robust five or six. Emphasizing a refreshing shift towards realism, she noted a stronger focus on practical stunts and more extensive scenes filmed directly inside the iconic vehicles. This change promises to give viewers a closer, more dynamic look at Quiet`s evolving driving prowess and her crucial role in the show`s vehicular chaos.

The Infamous Heist Episode

Drawing intriguing parallels to her days on NBC`s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Beatriz teased a particularly memorable heist episode set to feature prominently in Twisted Metal Season 2. While distinct from her previous work, she described the upcoming episode as “absolutely manic, ridiculously chaotic, bananas, and utterly off-the-wall.”

In a particularly candid revelation, Beatriz shared a memorable detail about filming this sequence: “There was probably like a day and a half where I was like, mostly naked.” She recounted the chaotic environment, with “shit blowing up,” a “hall on fire,” and her character running through “mostly abandoned buildings, trying to not get hit over the head with missiles.” She summarized the entire experience simply as “shenanigans.”

This desperate heist serves a crucial purpose for the characters as they prepare for the climactic vehicular combat tournament orchestrated by Calypso (Anthony Carrigan). In the harsh, post-apocalyptic world of Twisted Metal, acquiring necessary car upgrades and formidable weapons often means resorting to daring acts of theft, as traditional methods of acquisition are simply unavailable.

Twisted Metal Season 2 is set to premiere on July 31 exclusively on Peacock.
