Looking for some sci-fi survival gameplay? Developer Creepy Jar has announced a three-day closed playtest for their upcoming game, StarRupture. From July 29th to 31st, players can jump into the single-player mode of this title, which is planned to be multiplayer.
In StarRupture, players take on the role of inmates sentenced to the harsh penal colony planet, Arcadia-7. Instead of a traditional prison structure, the whole world serves as your confinement. Only the most capable will be able to survive and thrive in this challenging setting.
Players interested in participating can register for the playtest via the game`s Steam page. While the final game supports co-op with up to four players, this specific playtest focuses on the single-player experience, allowing participants to build bases, explore the world, and hone their survival and combat skills. Character progression will involve unlocking new modifications and structures. Furthermore, players can tailor their character`s abilities to suit their preferred play style.
Inmates aren`t left entirely to their own devices. The corporations overseeing this prison world have mandated that everyone contribute to factory work and resource gathering. These companies show little concern if players perish due to encounters with the planet Arcadia-7`s “bloodthirsty native enemies.”
StarRupture is anticipated to launch in early access sometime this fall.
