Significant Discount on The Last of Us Season 2 4K Steelbook Preorder

Fans of the acclaimed HBO series can now secure a copy of The Last of Us Season 2 Limited Edition 4K Steelbook at a substantial discount on Amazon. Originally priced at $47, preorders are currently available for just $35. This marks the lowest price offered since preorders became available in late May, presenting an excellent opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.

Given that the Season 1 Steelbook Edition, released in March, sold out months ago, it is highly advisable to place your preorder soon for the September 23 release of Season 2. Interestingly, the 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition for Season 2 is even more affordable than the standard 4K edition on Amazon.

At the time of writing, Amazon is the sole retailer offering this $35 deal. Other retailers like Gruv are listing preorders for $40, while Walmart maintains the full $47 price.

About The Last of Us Series

The Last of Us Season 2 continues HBO`s acclaimed and largely faithful adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game franchise. Unlike Season 1 which had nine episodes, Season 2 consisted of seven, primarily adapting a portion of *The Last of Us Part II* largely from Ellie`s viewpoint. Looking ahead, Season 3 is anticipated to shift focus and explore the narrative from Abby`s perspective, the other playable character from the second game.

For those new to the franchise, The Last of Us unfolds in a post-apocalyptic United States devastated by a parasitic fungal infection. This infection transforms most of humanity into dangerous, flesh-eating creatures. The inaugural season chronicled the journey of a hardened survivor, Joel, tasked with escorting 14-year-old Ellie out of a quarantine zone, as her immunity to the Cordyceps infection holds the potential key to a cure.

Season 2 is set five years later, delving into the severe repercussions of Joel`s past actions. A new conflict ignites, propelling Ellie on a quest for vengeance through perilous landscapes teeming with infected, hostile cults, and armed militias. While the show`s overarching plot adheres closely to the games, featuring nearly identical scenes at times, it also enriches the narrative by exploring previously untold backstories and introducing new characters within self-contained episodes.

The Last of Us Season 1 on Blu-ray

Season 1 Bonus Features:

The full list includes:

  • Inside the Episode (#1-9)
  • Controllers Down: Adapting The Last of Us
  • From Levels to Live Action

  • Is This a The Last of Us Line?
