The latest expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket, named Deluxe Pack ex, is set to launch on September 29. This new set promises at least one rare card in every pack, making it easier for players to acquire sought-after cards. However, collectors should note that this expansion will be available for a limited period only, unlike previous releases.
According to information from the official Pokemon website, each Deluxe Pack ex will contain at least one card with a rarity of `♦♦♦♦ or higher,` drawn from past expansions such as Genetic Apex and Wisdom of Sea and Sky. The expansion also introduces `parallel foil` cards, distinguished by a unique shimmering effect, alongside refreshed versions of older cards featuring new artwork. A preview of these cards is available below.

As previously noted, the Deluxe Pack ex set deviates from the typical release pattern by being available only until October 29. This gives players a one-month window to capitalize on the enhanced drop rates and expand their card collections. During this period, the game will also feature special events, including a Raichu ex drop event and a dedicated Bonus Week.
Since its launch last October, Pokemon TCG Pocket has consistently rolled out new expansions each month. The most recent addition, Secluded Springs, launched in August, bringing new cards primarily inspired by Pokemon from the Gold and Silver game versions. Looking ahead, Mega Evolutions are anticipated to arrive in the game later this fall, though a specific release date for that set has not yet been announced.
Furthermore, Mega Evolutions are set to be a central feature in the upcoming series installment, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This game is scheduled for release on October 16 for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It will immerse players entirely within Lumiose City and promises to revitalize the series` gameplay with an innovative battle system.
