Pokemon TCG: Phantasmal Flames Expansion Revealed

The Pokemon Company recently unveiled a new expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) called “Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames.” This announcement followed earlier teasers at this year`s Pokemon World Championships, which hinted at powerful cards like Mega Charizard X EX and other rare Mega attack cards.

Key Features of the New Expansion

“Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames” is set to launch on November 14, introducing a wave of fresh Mega Evolution Pokémon and a strong emphasis on both Fire-type and Darkness-type cards. Enthusiasts can look forward to several exciting additions, including:

  • Six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards
  • Four additional Pokémon ex cards
  • Thirteen uniquely illustrated rare Pokémon cards
  • Seventeen ultra-rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex Trainer and Energy cards
  • Five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Supporter cards

Early Access and Digital Availability

While official pre-orders for “Phantasmal Flames” have not yet commenced, players eager to experience the new set can do so through pre-release tournaments starting November 1. Furthermore, the digital rendition of the “Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames” expansion will be accessible on the Pokémon TCG app from November 13 across various platforms, including iOS, Android, macOS, and PC. This digital release will enable players to collect and battle with the new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, with additional in-game bonuses for logging into the app.
