August marks the grand finale of Pokemon Go`s Delightful Days season, packed with diverse events. This month introduces several new Pokémon, such as Gigantamax Butterfree and Shadow Kyogre. Additionally, Origin Form Dialga and Palkia will make a special, limited return during a dedicated Raid Day.
Players can also anticipate the regular August Spotlight Hours and a fresh lineup of raid bosses. The season culminates dramatically with the Pokemon Go Fest Max Finale, featuring the highly anticipated arrival of Eternatus.

Pokemon Go`s August Spotlight Hours highlight a diverse range of Pokémon.
Each Tuesday from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, a specific Pokémon species will appear more frequently in the wild, offering an excellent opportunity to expand your Pokédex and gather essential candy. Participants will also receive special bonuses, including increased XP or Stardust for catching Pokémon.

Gigantamax Butterfree Max Battle Day

Gigantamax Butterfree makes its debut in Pokémon Go during a dedicated Max Battle Day on August 3rd.
This powerful Gigantamax Pokémon will feature as a six-star Max Battle boss from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. During these hours, special bonuses will be active: Power Spots will yield eight times the standard amount of Max Particles, and the maximum Max Particles collectable will be temporarily raised to 1,600.

Combee and Swirlix take center stage in the Sweet Swarm event, running from August 3rd to 6th.
Trainers can capture these featured Pokémon by completing Timed Research tasks available on various days throughout the event, earning rewards such as Stardust and Pinap Berries. Additionally, Lure Modules activated during this period will last for one hour and have an increased chance of attracting event-specific Pokémon.

Cozy Companions

Despite the summer season, two new Ice-type Pokémon are set to debut during the Cozy Companions event, held from August 6th to 12th.
The frosty worm Snom is among several Pokémon that can hatch from 7 km eggs during this event. Evolving Snom into Frosmoth requires earning 10 hearts with Snom as your buddy and then using 400 Snom candy.
Other Pokémon like Galarian Farfetch`d and Charcadet will also be available from 7 km eggs, while Abra, Alolan Geodude, and Karrablast will appear more frequently in the wild. New Field and Timed Research tasks will provide additional opportunities to encounter these featured Pokémon.

Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day

Origin Form Dialga and Palkia are set to reappear for a special Raid Day on August 10th.

Team Go Rocket disrupts the festivities once more during the `Delightful Days: Taken Over` event, running from August 11th to 17th.
During this period, Team Go Rocket Grunts will appear more often at PokéStops and in balloons, commanding a fresh lineup of Shadow Pokémon, including Shadow Staryu, Shadow Fletchling, and Shadow Grubbin.
Additionally, Shadow Pokémon will invade various raids, featuring the debut of Shadow Kyogre. A new Special Research storyline will lead trainers to a confrontation with Giovanni, offering the chance to rescue Shadow Giratina upon his defeat.

Go Battle Weekend isn`t the only event happening during the Pokemon World Championships. Pokemon Go is also holding a Shadow Raid Weekend from August 16-17.

This year`s Pokemon Go Fest is officially coming to an end with the Max Finale event on August 23-24.

This month`s Community Day takes place on August 30 and stars the bird Pokemon Rookidee.
