July in Pokémon Go is packed with events as part of the `Delightful Days` season. Players can look forward to large-scale celebrations for the game`s 9th anniversary, featuring new Pokémon and a Masterwork Research storyline. The month will also bring summer festivals like the Summer Concert and the return of the Water Festival. Additionally, two Community Days, new Spotlight Hours, and raid battles are scheduled. Below is detailed information on all key July events.
July Raid Schedule
The Pokémon Go raid schedule for July 2025 promises the return of popular Legendary and Mega Pokémon. In five-star raids, the Swords of Justice (Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion) will reappear, as will the Sun and Moon Pokémon – Solgaleo and Lunala. Mega Raids will feature Mega Charizard X, Mega Blastoise, Mega Venusaur, along with Mega Aggron and Mega Aerodactyl. Max Battles will see the return of Dynamax Shuckle, Dynamax Gastly, and Dynamax Kabuto. Shadow Registeel will be available as a special Shadow raid boss every weekend. Pokémon Go will continue to host `Spotlight Hour` events in July. Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, a specific Pokémon species will appear more frequently in the wild, offering an excellent opportunity to complete your Pokédex and stock up on candy. 9th Anniversary Party
July kicks off with Pokémon Go`s 9th Anniversary celebration, running from July 1-6. As part of the festivities, special party-themed Pokémon will debut, including Ivysaur and Venusaur wearing party hats. There will also be a chance to catch a Gimmighoul holding a special 9th-anniversary coin after completing Field Research tasks. Numerous bonuses will be active throughout the event, including increased chances to become Lucky Friends and receive Lucky Pokémon from trades. Additional daily bonuses will be available: eggs placed in Incubators from July 1-3 will hatch at half the usual distance, and from July 3-5, players will earn double XP for catching Pokémon. The event also includes various challenges, such as free Field and Timed Research tasks, and a paid Masterwork Research story called `Wish Granted,` offering a chance to catch a Shiny Jirachi.

July Community Day Classic
Community Day Classic returns to Pokémon Go with Eevee, running on July 5 and 6. Daily from 2-5 PM local time, Eevee will appear much more frequently in the wild, providing an excellent opportunity to catch it and gather candy. There will also be an increased chance to encounter a Shiny Eevee. The event will give players another chance to obtain special moves: Eevee and its evolutions will be able to learn event-exclusive attacks if hatched or evolved before 10 PM local time on July 12. The full list of attacks is provided below. In addition to regular Community Day bonuses, eggs placed in Incubators will hatch at a quarter of the normal distance, and Incense and Lure Modules will last for three hours. Eevee`s evolution requirements will also be temporarily reduced, simplifying the acquisition of the mentioned attacks.

Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration
As a reward for successfully completing Global Challenges during Pokémon Go Fest 2025, Pokémon Go is launching a special Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration event, running from July 8-13. For the first time in Pokémon Go, both Hisuian Zorua and its evolution, Hisuian Zoroark, will be available. These ghost-type Pokémon, along with other Pokémon from the Hisui region such as Hisuian Voltorb, Petilil, Bergmite, and Hisuian Qwilfish, will appear more frequently in the wild. Players can expect new Research tasks and Collection Challenges, as well as several bonuses: quadrupled XP and Stardust for catching Pokémon, and an increased chance to encounter Shiny versions of Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Unown U.

Hisuian Lilligant Raid Day
Another Pokémon from the Hisui region will debut on July 12 as part of a special Raid Day. From 2-5 PM local time, Hisuian Lilligant will appear in Gyms as a raid boss, marking the first opportunity to catch it in Pokémon Go, with an increased chance to encounter its Shiny version. Throughout the event, bonuses will be active: the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20, and up to five additional free Raid Passes can be obtained by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. The in-game shop will also offer a paid event ticket with additional rewards and bonuses.

Water Festival
Pokémon Go`s Water Festival returns from July 15-20. As part of this year`s event, the Water/Dragon Pokémon Tatsugiri will make its Pokémon Go debut. Each of its three forms will be available as a three-star raid boss in different parts of the world: Curly Form in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Droopy Form exclusively in the Americas; and Stretchy Form throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, other Water-type Pokémon like Squirtle, Clamperl, Feebas, and Tirtouga will appear more frequently in the wild. As part of this year`s Water Festival, Gigantamax Lapras will return for a Max Battle Day on July 19. Several in-game bonuses will be active during the event: the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20, and the Max Particle collection limit will rise to 1,600. Power Spots will refresh more frequently than usual and yield eight times the typical amount of Max Particles.

July Community Day
The second Community Day of the month takes place on July 20, featuring Quaxly, the Water-type starter from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. From 2-5 PM local time, Quaxly will appear much more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of encountering a Shiny version. As with other Community Day Pokémon, the Quaxly line can learn an event-exclusive attack: any Quaxwell evolved into Quaquaval by 10 PM local time on July 27 will learn the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. Event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks will be available, offering various rewards, including additional chances to catch Quaxly. The shop will also offer a paid Community Day Special Research ticket, which includes extra rewards like a Rare Candy XL and a Premium Battle Pass. Finally, the usual Community Day bonuses will be active: triple Stardust and double candy for catching Pokémon, and Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours.

For the first time, Honedge, the sword Pokémon, will be available in three-star raids.
