Pacific Drive: Ritual Edition Now Available for Preorder on PS5

Last year, Pacific Drive captivated players with its unique blend of survival horror set in an eerie, alternate version of the Pacific Northwest. Hailed as one of the year`s standout indie releases, the game is gearing up for a significant expansion, Whisper in the Woods, slated for release in late 2025.

Adding to the excitement, fans will soon be able to enrich their physical game collection with the new Pacific Drive: Ritual Edition. This exclusive physical release, available solely on PlayStation 5 via Amazon, is set to launch later this year. Priced at $60, the Ritual Edition encompasses the full base game, the forthcoming Whisper in the Woods DLC, a curated selection of bonus content, and an exclusive steelbook case.

While an exact release date and any specific preorder incentives are yet to be disclosed, eager fans can already secure their copy. It`s important to note that this particular physical edition is exclusive to PS5, despite the original game`s availability on both PlayStation 5 and PC.

For players who prefer not to wait for the Ritual Edition for a physical copy on PS5, the existing Pacific Drive: Deluxe Edition presents a compelling alternative. This version, currently on sale for $36 (originally $40), includes the base game, an in-game cosmetic pack, a reversible cover, three physical art cards, and a traveler’s journal. It offers a solid package for those looking to jump into the game now.

Pacific Drive garnered a strong 8/10 in our review, which particularly commended its powerful upgrade system, the deeply unsettling atmosphere of its Pacific Northwest setting, and an exceptional soundtrack featuring artists from the region. The review noted, “Rarely does a video game make driving as engaging and enjoyable as Pacific Drive does, even though it can be much more challenging than any real-life drive I`ve ever taken. With a ton of gameplay depth, an intoxicating atmosphere, and a New Weird story I obsessed over, the debut game from Ironwood Studios dazzled me even though it occasionally left me stranded in the breakdown lane.”
