New Silent Hill F Trailer Reveals Doppelgangers, Combat, and English Cast

The latest trailer for Silent Hill F premiered during Gamescom Opening Night Live, offering the first glimpse of the game`s English voice cast. Although specific story details are still elusive, the trailer provided a clear look at the combat system and introduced an enigmatic character adorned with a fox mask.

This mysterious young man appears to be a pivotal figure. The trailer begins with him asserting that the protagonist, Hinako, “saved my life and claimed my soul. In return, I shall save your soul by taking the life of your old self.” The precise meaning of this statement is open to interpretation, but the trailer clearly shows Hinako facing what seems to be a doppelganger of herself.

Despite revealing new locations and elements, this latest preview largely mirrors previous trailers, with Hinako navigating an abandoned village overrun by grotesque creatures. Notable new details include the fox-masked man guiding Hinako with a glowing blue lantern, and Hinako discovering her own home has undergone a sinister transformation.

The trailer also showcases Silent Hill F`s combat, which appears more agile yet retains the deliberate, suspenseful feel expected by series fans. Hinako is seen wielding a polearm against a dancer-like enemy armed with a saber. Another terrifying opponent, resembling writhing intestines or doll parts on legs, emits a piercing scream, causing Hinako to clutch her head in agony.

The English voice actor for Hinako will be Suzie Yeung, widely recognized for her performances as Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Makima in Chainsaw Man, and Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals.

One editor`s preview of Silent Hill F enthusiastically stated, “I`d now go so far as to say [Silent Hill is] not only back, it`s stronger than ever, and that Silent Hill F has the potential to be the best game in the series.”

Silent Hill F is scheduled for release on September 25, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
