Monster Hunter Wilds is set to embrace the summer season with its highly anticipated Flamefete Festival, continuing the series` cherished tradition of seasonal content updates. This vibrant event will run from July 23rd to August 6th, bringing a wealth of unique content designed to perfectly complement the year`s warmest period.
The festival, spanning approximately two weeks in-game, will commence with new summer-themed quests. The main festivities, however, will unfold within the Grand Hub. Players will need to have achieved at least Hunter Rank 16 to access this social area, which was introduced in Wilds` initial title update earlier this spring.
The Grand Hub will undergo a complete summer makeover, featuring special decorations, a new summer-themed meal, and interactive minigames such as throwing a beach ball. A highlight is the new water gun emote, which momentarily transforms Monster Hunter Wilds into an exhilarating third-person Super Soaker experience. Capcom is clearly encouraging players to team up and engage in playful water gun battles across the Grand Hub throughout the festival duration.
As revealed in the event`s trailer, participants can also look forward to spectacular fireworks displays and various performances within the Grand Hub. Active participation in the Flamefete Festival and consistent login bonuses throughout the two-week period will reward players with numerous exclusive items, including Seikret decorations and craftable gear for both hunters and their loyal Palicos, all boasting a distinct fiery aesthetic.
Beyond the festival grounds, two new event quests await. One quest appears to offer a sleek diving suit crafted from the hide of the venomous Rompopolo monster. The other will grant players a unique, humorous weapon dubbed the “Cornpopper”—essentially a gunlance designed to resemble an enormous corncob. Furthermore, most previously available event quests will also make a return during the festival, offering another chance to complete them.
To keep players refreshed during the summer heat, the festival update also introduces new swimwear outfits. These fashionable additions will be available for hunters and several key supporting NPCs, including Alma, Erik, and Gemma. Players will have the option to purchase a DLC pack starting July 23rd, which provides permanent access to these cosmetic items, even after the event concludes. Speaking of NPCs, this update also enables Fabius, who leads Wilds` core Hunting Guild members, to join hunters in the field as a valuable ally.
The Flamefete Festival kicks off on July 23rd, coinciding with the arrival of the formidable Arch-tempered Uth Duna. Both of these significant additions are part of the RPG`s second major free title update.
