Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Announced for 2026

While Capcom`s iconic hero, Mega Man, hasn`t starred in a new main series game since Mega Man 11 in 2018, the franchise remains a significant part of their legacy. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Mega Man Star Force series in 2026, Capcom is set to release the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, bringing together all seven acclaimed action-RPG titles.

Introduced in 2006, the Mega Man Star Force series served as a spiritual successor to the popular Mega Man Battle Network games. These titles immersed players in the story of Geo Stelar, a young boy who transforms into a new Mega Man after merging with an alien entity named Omega-Xis. Their adventures, unfolding two hundred years after the final Battle Network game, captivated fans across seven installments, culminating with Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker in 2008.

Titles Included in the Legacy Collection:

  • Mega Man Star Force Pegasus
  • Mega Man Star Force Leo
  • Mega Man Star Force Dragon
  • Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Ninja
  • Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Saurian
  • Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace
  • Mega Man Star Force 3 Red Joker

Given that these games were originally designed for the Nintendo DS, the Legacy Collection will feature a unique dual-screen display, presenting both screens on a single TV. Furthermore, the collection promises an `enhanced experience,` allowing players to engage in online card trading and competitive battles, a significant upgrade from their original releases.

Capcom has indicated a general 2026 release window for the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, with no specific date announced yet. The collection will be widely available on various modern platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Earlier this year, Capcom reaffirmed Mega Man`s status as one of its most crucial franchises. While details about a completely new game remain scarce, fans can look forward to the original Mega Man animated series being released on Blu-ray on October 28.
