Massive Discounts on Stephen King Books for Prime Day

Stephen King`s most recent novel is currently available at a significant discount, over 50% off, as part of Amazon`s Prime Day event. Amazon is offering an additional coupon discount on the hardcover edition of “Never Flinch,” reducing its price drastically from $32 to just $14.92. “Never Flinch,” which was released on May 27th, sees the renowned author continuing his exploration within the realm of dark crime fiction. Other recent crime novels by King are also featured in Prime Day sales, including hardcover editions with coupon options and a large selection of paperbacks included in Amazon`s Buy Two, Get One Free Book promotion.

If you prefer King`s classic horror tales, there are numerous compelling offers available too. Among these are some particularly attractive deals on hardcover editions. For example, a striking edition of “The Shining” can be purchased for only $16.66 (down from $45). Fans of Pennywise the Dancing Clown can acquire the hardcover version of “It” for just $12.90 (originally $35), also benefiting from an extra coupon discount. Spanning 1,168 pages, “It” is one of King`s two longest novels, the other being “The Stand: The Complete and Uncut Edition,” which is 1,152 pages in hardcover but has a higher word count.

Discover Stephen King`s “Never Flinch”

King`s new novel features two primary storylines that gradually converge. Set in the fictional location of Buckeye City, the complex plot of “Never Flinch” is set in motion by a mysterious letter sent to the police department. The author of the letter pledges to murder 13 innocent individuals and one person deemed guilty, claiming this is retribution for the earlier death of an innocent man.

Detective Izzy Jaynes is assigned to investigate this chilling threat. King`s new protagonist receives assistance from a private investigator who will be very familiar to regular King readers: Holly Gibney.

Holly serves as the link connecting the parallel narratives in “Never Flinch.” While assisting with the letter writer investigation, Holly is also hired to protect Kate McKay, a women`s rights activist who is being stalked during her nationwide speaking tour.

The Many Appearances of Holly Gibney

“Never Flinch” marks the seventh book by Stephen King that features the character Holly Gibney. King has mentioned that Gibney is one of his favorite characters, suggesting she may appear in future works. While having knowledge of Holly`s background will likely enrich the reading experience, “Never Flinch” can be read as a standalone novel.

King often provides necessary background details about Holly`s previous cases within each book, making it easier for new readers to follow. However, if you wish to avoid encountering major plot spoilers for earlier stories involving Holly, reading the books chronologically is recommended.

The 2023 novel titled “Holly” is the first and only full-length King novel where Holly is the sole main character, following her investigation into mysterious disappearances. Holly Gibney first appeared in “Mr. Mercedes” (2014), the initial book in King`s Bill Hodges Trilogy, which centers on a retired police officer. Holly`s role grew more prominent in the subsequent books, “Finders Keepers” (2015) and “End of Watch” (2016).

The private investigator also played a key supporting role in “The Outsider” (2018), a supernatural horror novel later adapted into an HBO series. She is also the central figure in the title novella included in King`s 2020 story collection, “If It Bleeds.”

Additional Stephen King Hardcover Deals

Stephen King hardcover novels

Beyond the crime novels featuring Holly Gibney and Bill Hodges, Amazon`s Prime Day includes many other King novels and collections in its promotions. This includes hardcover editions of several older titles. Some of these feature dust jackets and cover art designed to match the hardcover edition of “The Shining.” These matching editions include “`Salem`s Lot,” a notable 20th-century vampire novel, and “Carrie,” King`s debut novel published in 1974. Hardcover editions of “The Stand” and the collection “Night Shift” also share this theme; while not part of the B2G1 promotion, these editions are offered at significantly reduced prices rarely seen.

Several of King`s recent novels, aside from the Holly Gibney series, are also included in the B2G1 free offer or are available at bargain prices with extra coupon discounts. The 2022 novel “Fairy Tale,” which offers King`s unique take on Narnia-like fantasy, has its hardcover edition priced at approximately $12. This was a notable shift from his 2021 novel “Billy Summers,” a fast-paced crime story devoid of fantastical or supernatural elements. “Billy Summers” is often considered one of his best works in the crime genre and is eligible for the B2G1 free deal. You can also find King`s 2024 short story collection, “You Like it Darker,” available for around $11 with a coupon promotion.

Stephen King Box Set Offers

While there are relatively few Stephen King book box sets available, you can achieve substantial savings on “The Dark Tower Complete Series,” which includes all eight novels presented in a display case. Upcoming Stephen King Books to Anticipate

Stephen King new releases in 2025

Long-time readers of Stephen King should keep an eye out for another brand-new book titled “The End of the World As We Know It: New Tales of Stephen King`s The Stand.” Scheduled for release on August 19th, this anthology features stories by numerous contemporary authors set within the universe of King`s expansive novel, “The Stand.” King himself has written the introduction for this lengthy 800-page volume. If you wish to revisit “The Stand” before this anthology`s release, Amazon currently has an excellent hardcover edition available for over $30 off.

Fans will also soon be able to add a new box set featuring three of King`s earlier horror novels to their collections. Titled “Classic King Box Set 1,” this upcoming paperback collection includes the latest editions of “Christine,” “Cujo,” and “Pet Sematary,” featuring vintage-style artwork on the covers and slipcase. All three individual editions are included in Amazon`s B2G1 free sale. Although this is the only confirmed set so far, it appears publisher Scribner plans to release multiple “Classic King Box Sets.” While the design of the “Classic King Box Set” is arguably more appealing, the 2019 collection “Stephen King: Three Classic Novels” (containing “Carrie,” “`Salem`s Lot,” and “The Shining”) is available for a lower price. “Classic King Box Set 1” is currently available for preorder ahead of its July 29th release.

King`s second children`s book, a new take on “Hansel and Gretel,” is set to be published on September 2nd by HarperCollins. Aimed at early elementary schoolers, it features illustrations by Maurice Sendak. King`s only previous children`s book is “Charlie the Choo-Choo,” a picture book for toddlers published under the pseudonym Beryl Evans. Both the book and its author originally appeared within King`s dark fantasy series, “The Dark Tower.” If you haven`t read King`s longest series, the “Dark Tower 8-Book Box Set” is currently available at a significant discount.
