Life is Strange: Reunion is set to release on March 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This highly anticipated finale marks the return of protagonist Max Caulfield, eleven years after her initial appearance. Fan expectations are accordingly high.
Our editorial team also looks forward to the title with excitement, although not everyone was entirely pleased with the direction of Double Exposure. Unfortunately, we likely won’t be able to provide a comprehensive quality assessment by the release date. According to our information, Square Enix has not yet distributed review copies, which complicates the timely creation of a review.
Our Review Plan for Life is Strange: Reunion
Our goal is to inform you about the strengths and weaknesses of Life is Strange: Reunion as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Questions regarding the technical implementation, the impact of choices, the compelling nature of the story, and the integration of Chloe’s return remain unanswered for now.
Currently, we anticipate being able to start playing only on Thursday, the official launch day. If this is the case, a timely review by release will be difficult, if not impossible. Nevertheless, we will do our best to provide you with a first impression by Friday.
Whether this will be sufficient for a final review complete with a score is largely dependent on the length of Life is Strange: Reunion. Its predecessor, Double Exposure, offered approximately ten to twelve hours of gameplay. Should Max and Chloe’s final adventure be similarly extensive, a full review is more likely to be available by next Monday, March 30.
However, these timeframes are merely estimates. There is still a possibility that review copies might arrive before the planned release, allowing us to inform you sooner about the final state of Life is Strange: Reunion. We will, of course, keep you updated.
