Lego has expanded its popular Star Wars collection with the recent launch of nine new playsets and display models, which became available on August 1st. Leading this new wave of releases is the highly anticipated Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) AT-ST Walker, a complex build primarily designed for adult enthusiasts.
This meticulously detailed 1,513-piece rendition of the iconic AT-ST Walker transport vehicle is priced at $200, positioning it as one of the more accessible Ultimate Collector Series sets currently on the market. While initial preorders were exclusive to Amazon following its reveal in early July, the AT-ST Walker UCS is now broadly available from major retailers, including Walmart, Target, the official Lego Store, and Best Buy.
Furthermore, Jango Fett`s Firespray-Class Starship, a UCS model originally released for Star Wars Day this year, is no longer limited to the Lego Store. This substantial 2,970-piece model, inspired by “Attack of the Clones,” is now also available for purchase on Amazon for $300.

The All Terrain Scout Transport, commonly known as the AT-ST or “chicken walker,” has been an integral part of the Star Wars cinematic universe since its debut in “The Empire Strikes Back.” This particular 1,513-piece building set crafts a highly accurate replica that closely resembles the AT-ST seen in “Return of the Jedi.”
Upon completion, the model measures 14.5 x 8.5 x 8.5 inches and features several interactive components. These include an openable top hatch providing access to the cockpit, a rotating head, adjustable viewport shutters, and poseable laser cannons. The AT-ST`s signature chicken-like gait is captured through its articulated legs, allowing for dynamic display options.
As a member of the Ultimate Collector Series, this AT-ST boasts a multitude of small, intricate details that are absent from Lego`s more standard playset versions. For instance, the spacious two-person cockpit is designed with a higher level of fidelity, bringing it closer to its on-screen appearance. UCS builds are also known for their thoughtful layering and minimal visible studs, characteristics clearly evident in the promotional images. The construction process for Ultimate Collector Series sets is generally more complex, making the AT-ST and other UCS models recommended for experienced builders aged 18 and up.
In line with all UCS Star Wars display models, the AT-ST set includes an informational plaque and an exclusive minifigure, fittingly an AT-ST Driver.

While many of the new August Lego Star Wars kits are marketed towards younger fans, adult collectors will undoubtedly find two of the large buildable character figures particularly appealing. Lego has introduced an endearing 1,010-piece Wicket the Ewok model, straight from “Return of the Jedi,” and an 845-piece K-2SO Security Droid, based on the character from “Rogue One.”
Additionally, a tenth new set is technically available as part of a discounted “Epic Battle Set” bundle, which comes with a bonus miniature Millennium Falcon (Lego Polybag). Walmart has also launched an exclusive 3-in-1 Lego Star Wars Gift Set for $45, which is expected to be a fast-selling item.
Lego Star Wars: Ultimate Collector Series Overview
The recently launched AT-ST is, in fact, the second AT-ST to be featured in Lego`s Ultimate Collector Series. The original version, released in 2006, has been retired for many years. This new model offers significantly enhanced detail, partly due to its approximately 500 additional pieces, but also reflecting Lego`s continuous advancements in design and complexity over time.
As previously mentioned, the $200 AT-ST Walker is currently the most affordably priced set within the extensive Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series. Several other UCS sets are available for under $250, including the TIE Interceptor Starfighter, X-Wing Starfighter, and Luke Skywalker`s Landspeeder.
