A new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, a Musou-style action game, was unveiled by Koei Tecmo during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation. This title was first announced in an earlier Nintendo Switch 2 Direct earlier this year.
The game is set in Hyrule`s distant past, following Princess Zelda after she is transported back in time during the events depicted in Tears of the Kingdom. Players will find many familiar faces from Tears of the Kingdom`s flashbacks, including King Rauru and Queen Sonia, who will join Zelda in battling enemy hordes throughout this new Musou adventure.
The latest trailer showcased fresh gameplay, specifically highlighting new partner-based attacks. These powerful maneuvers allow two characters to combine forces for impressive, crowd-clearing abilities. One striking scene featured Zelda and Rauru linking hands to unleash dual beams of light upon a group of Bokoblins. The trailer also teased a mysterious bipedal mech, shown in the process of assembly, though its capabilities remain a secret for now.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is scheduled for an exclusive launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this winter.
