The KPop Demon Hunters collaboration has completely taken over Fortnite, bringing a wealth of new content! This major event reintroduces the Horde Rush mode with a unique KPop Demon Hunters theme, adds four distinctive items to the Battle Royale and Blitz loot pools, and, of course, offers skins for all three HUNTR/X members in the item shop. Given how swiftly Epic Games unveiled this collaboration and the recent surge in popularity for the Netflix movie, it appears everything was put together quite rapidly.
KPop Demon Hunters: Item Shop Cosmetics
The in-game shop features an array of cosmetic items, including skins for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Each character also comes with a themed pickaxe and a ramyeon back bling. The collection is rounded out by the Zoey`s Thumbs Up emote. Individual skins are priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, while a complete bundle containing all items can be purchased for 3,500 V-Bucks, offering considerable savings if you intend to acquire the full set.
Unlocking Free KPop Demon Hunters Rewards in Fortnite
As is customary with significant collaborations like this, Fortnite is also offering several free KPop Demon Hunters cosmetic items that players can earn simply by playing the game. These complimentary rewards fall into two distinct categories: items granted for gaining account levels across any game mode, and items earned by completing specific quests within the limited-time Demon Rush mode.
Free Level-Up Rewards
You can obtain two cosmetic items for free just by increasing your account levels over the next seven days. Advancing four levels will unlock the Special Ramyeon emoticon, and reaching eight levels will grant you the HUNTR/X Unite loading screen. Progress towards these items can be accelerated by completing the numerous KPop Demon Hunters quests available, many of which involve utilizing their newly introduced loot items.

New KPop Demon Hunters Gameplay Items
Fortnite now features four new KPop Demon Hunters gameplay items that can be found as loot. These include Rumi`s Sword, which offers ranged attacks in addition to standard melee swings; Zoey`s Bubble Shield, functioning similarly to a regular bubble shield but playing HUNTR/X music while active; Mira`s X-Tra Spicy Ramyeon, which restores health and shields and provides a temporary speed boost; and Tiger`s Teleporting Mask, a reskinned version of the existing Void Mask traversal item, allowing instantaneous teleportation to a designated portal. Each of these items has associated quests that reward 10,000 XP upon completion.
Demon Rush Mode: Additional Free Rewards
Beyond the level-up rewards, there are even more free items to unlock, though these require participation in the new Demon Rush mode. Demon Rush is a fresh take on the Horde Rush mode, a fan-favorite that Fortnite typically brings back every October. In this mode, you and three teammates will battle waves of monsters and epic bosses alongside Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. You`ll be able to strategically use the previously mentioned new items to aid your survival. Completing quests within this mode will unlock several other KPop Demon Hunters cosmetics: finishing four quests grants a banner icon, eight quests unlock the Playful Derpy emoticon, and twelve quests earn you the HUNTR/X spray.
KPop Demon Hunters Demon Rush Quests
Currently, only a limited number of Demon Rush quests are available, meaning it`s not yet possible to unlock all the associated items. Players will need to await additional batches of quests, with the first new set scheduled to arrive next Wednesday, October 8. The quests themselves are generally straightforward and many will likely be completed incidentally as you play through the mode.
In addition to the five standard quests presently available, there is a comprehensive five-stage quest that challenges players to defeat the final Peely boss at progressively higher difficulty settings. Difficulty can be adjusted using the Cursed Tiger Statue found in each boss encounter area – interacting with it is a quest in itself. Other Week 1 Demon Rush quests include: damaging demon spawners with explosives or junk rifts; choosing upgrade perks 20 times during a match; achieving a 50x streak; and upgrading weapons 15 times. These quests will remain active throughout the entire duration of Demon Rush, which is scheduled to conclude on November 1, likely coinciding with the end of Fortnitemares 2025.
