Helldivers 2 Update Addresses Crashes and Boosts New Gear

Helldivers 2, a game constantly undergoing changes, has just received a new update. This hotfix is specifically designed to tackle critical issues that emerged following the “Into the Unjust” event. Its primary focus is on resolving severe game crashes and enhancing the performance of new items from the Dust Devils warbond.

Players can anticipate various general improvements. Developer Arrowhead reports that crashes related to excessive particle effects, Automaton missions, and a bug involving seeking missiles have been fixed. Additional adjustments include safer extraction shuttle landings, corrected darkness levels in hive world tunnels at lower graphics settings, and a reduction in the Hellpad`s overly bright illumination.

Regarding weaponry and stratagems, several problems have been resolved. The LIFT-182 Warp Pack will no longer cause players to get stuck mid-air, and crashes occurring when aborting a mission while operating a turret or vehicle have been fixed. Players can now safely equip the Halo ODST MA5C assault rifle on their flagship`s bridge without issues.

In terms of buffs, Arrowhead has decreased the cooldown for the MS-11 Solo Silo and accelerated the reload time for the S-11 Speargun. The silo stratagem cooldown is now 180 seconds (down from 210), and the Speargun`s reload duration has been reduced by a full second to 2.5 seconds. This update follows a larger patch earlier in the week that addressed numerous other bugs, providing players more freedom for their missions, including bug hunts where they might encounter a formidable Hive Lord.

Helldivers 2 is now also available on Xbox Series X|S, attracting many new recruits to spread managed democracy across distant planets.
