GTA Online’s Halloween Event Unleashes Slasher Mode and Zombies

Rockstar Games has revealed its exciting plans for Grand Theft Auto V`s Halloween festivities, promising an abundance of chilling content for players throughout October.

Kicking off the celebration, the popular Cayo Perico Survival and Ludendorff Cemetery Survival modes make a return, enhanced with a terrifying zombie theme specifically for Halloween. In these revamped modes, players will confront relentless hordes of zombies, alongside formidable foes such as “hulking juggernauts, armored conquistadors, splitters, possessed animals and their trainers, zombie DJs, and other ghastly creatures,” according to Rockstar.

Halloween comes to GTA Online.
Halloween comes to GTA Online, bringing new horrors.

Throughout the event, Cayo Perico Survival offers double GTA$ and RP until October 8, while Ludendorff Cemetery Survival will grant triple rewards from October 23 to November 5.

The GTA Online Halloween update also introduces a fresh variation of the intense Slasher mode, set within the claustrophobic environment of the Ramius submarine. In this iteration, one player assumes the role of the Slasher, equipped with a shotgun and a flashlight to navigate the dark vessel. After three minutes, the hunted players receive their own shotguns, turning the tables as they pursue the Slasher. This particular mode will provide double GTA$ and RP from October 16-22. Additionally, the classic Slasher modes will also be available throughout October.

Furthermore, Rockstar plans to roll out a unique Halloween-themed adversary mode each week in October. The complete schedule is as follows:

  • October 2–8: Beast vs. Slasher
  • October 9–15: Judgement Day
  • October 16–22: Slasher (Ramius Submarine)
  • October 23–29: Condemned
  • October 30–November 5: Slasher (includes Ramius Submarine)

Beyond these modes, Rockstar promises “plenty more off-kilter events” within GTA Online all through October. Players should keep an eye out for UFO sightings and potential abductions, engage in missions assisting investigators with supernatural phenomena, and collect scattered jack-o`-lanterns across the map for bonus GTA$.

Lastly, GTA+ subscribers can anticipate exclusive “Halloween-themed rewards” commencing October 9, though the specifics are yet to be officially unveiled.

A brief mention of GTA 6 indicates its anticipated release on May 26, 2026, following an earlier delay from its original expected launch window.
