Grow a Garden Update Brings Culinary Fun and Trading Fixes to Roblox Hit

Since its launch in late March, Grow a Garden has rapidly emerged as a significant success on the Roblox platform. Players can now enjoy a new update that introduces cooking their homegrown vegetables to earn exciting rewards.

This latest update centers around Chris P, an actual pig who owns his own kitchen. Chris P communicates his current cravings, ranging from candy to pizza, through a thought bubble. By fulfilling his culinary desires, players can acquire a variety of new seeds, including onions, jalapenos, crown melon, and tacofern, as well as new gear and in-game pets.

In addition to cooking, Grow a Garden has significantly improved its trading system. Previously, some players exploited a flaw by disconnecting before completing their side of a trade, effectively scamming others. The revamped system now requires players to obtain a special trade ticket from the gear shop to finalize any transaction, ensuring fairer exchanges.

The game has experienced remarkable growth, reaching 5 million concurrent players earlier this summer and nearly 12 million by July. Interestingly, Grow a Garden was initially created by an anonymous teenage Roblox user. However, a studio named Splitting Point is currently managing the game`s production and ongoing updates.

Grow a Garden`s immense popularity serves as a prime example of The Roblox Corporation`s strategic vision for its platform. At the 2024 Roblox Developers Conference, the company unveiled a new revenue-sharing model designed to incentivize developers who create premium experiences using Roblox`s extensive game creation tools. To date, Grow a Garden stands as the most popular fan-made experience on the Roblox platform, showcasing the potential of this new creator economy.
