When is the Next Grow A Garden Update?
The next Grow A Garden update is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. This weekend introduces the Ghoul Garden event, kicking off Grow A Garden`s Halloween celebrations. Players can anticipate spooky themes, Halloween-inspired weather, seeds, pets, and various quality-of-life enhancements. Confirmed new shops include Spooky Seeds, Creepy Critters, and Devilish Decor.

Current Grow A Garden Event
The ongoing Grow A Garden event commenced on Saturday, October 4, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT and will run for one week. This Chubby Chipmunk update introduces a special central map event featuring a free Chubby Chipmunk pet. Placing this pet in your garden will cause it to feed periodically, spawning an Acorn on the map. Collecting these Acorns grants one of the following rewards:
- Watering Can x15 – 14.12%
- Event Lantern x20 – 12.24%
- Godly Sprinkler x2 – 11.29%
- Legendary Egg x1 – 11.29%
- Reclaimer x3 – 10.35%
- Nutty Crate x1 – 8.47%
- Silver Fertilizer x1 – 6.59%
- Nutty Chest x1 – 5.65%

Furthermore, a vendor accepts up to 1,500 points worth of plants from players. Once this threshold is met, the “Nutty Fever” weather condition activates for 5 minutes, dramatically increasing the Chubby Chipmunk`s feeding rate to once every 30 seconds. This plant contribution is player-specific, meaning other players cannot contribute to your personal progress, but your progress is saved even if you switch servers.

Admin Abuse Events
Prior to each major update, typically an hour before it launches, Grow A Garden hosts an “Admin Abuse” event to celebrate the new content. These events are often characterized by administrators like Jandel causing playful chaos across the servers. During this chaotic hour, players can experience unique Admin-exclusive weather effects, find shops stocked with exceptionally rare items, and participate in minigames that offer cosmetics and other valuable rewards. Occasionally, participants might even receive a free ultra-rare pet, such as the Chicken Zombie or Junkbot.
It is strongly advised to join these events on a private server or one with very few players. This precaution helps avoid issues where other players` overgrown plants might obstruct valuable information or hinder your progress in prize giveaways. For instance, during a “Find the Pet” weather effect, if the target pet is hidden within someone`s sprawling Briar Rose, you risk missing out on a rare reward. It`s also a good idea to stay logged in briefly after the official event ends, as administrators sometimes surprise players with an encore, offering additional giveaways and new weather effects.
