Grow A Garden Night Staff Guide: Get, Use, and Boost Your Crops

How to use the Grow A Garden Night Staff? It is one of several tools designed to attract specific mutations to your plants. Each tool has a fixed number of charges, so once depleted, a new one will be required. This poses no issue for wealthy players but can be costly for those who need these tools most.

While bonus multipliers alone are not very significant (except for one specific weather condition), stacking multiple Grow A Garden mutations on a single plant can transform a regular crop into one worth millions, or even billions, of Sheckles. To maximize your fruit`s value, here’s how to obtain the Night Staff and other weather-attracting tools.

The Sky Merchant always appears once every four hours, and he is the one who sells you the Night Staff.

Where to get the Grow A Garden Night Staff

Weather-attracting tools can be acquired from two locations, but only the Sky Merchant sells the Night Staff. To locate him, you must await the appearance of merchants (every 30 minutes) and hope it`s the Sky Merchant. He is guaranteed to appear every 4 hours, so patience will be rewarded. He typically carries at least one Night Staff in his inventory. The Star Caller offers a 120x multiplier for the `Celestial` mutation, which is significantly higher than the 2x multiplier for `Moonlit Fruit` from the Night Staff. However, the Night Staff can also grant the `Bloodlit` mutation during a Blood Moon.

Other items can be crafted at the Crafting Bench using goods from the Grow A Garden Gear Shop. Crafting these items is advisable as it`s more cost-effective than purchasing a Night Staff, and the multipliers they provide are substantially higher (85x for the Tanning Mirror and 100x for the Lightning Rod).

Gear Effect Cost

Lightning Rod Redirects lightning 3 times during a Thunderstorm from its vicinity to a plant within its radius in your garden, granting plants it hits the Shocked mutation. Craft at the Gear Crafting Table with a Basic Sprinkler, an Advanced Sprinkler, a Godly Sprinkler, and 500,000 Sheckles.
Tanning Mirror Attracts Sun Rays to 10 crops during the Heat Wave weather to affect them with the Sundried mutation. Craft at the Gear Crafting Table with a Basic Sprinkler, an Advanced Sprinkler, a Godly Sprinkler, and 500,000 Sheckles.

How to use Grow A Garden Night Staff

Using these items is straightforward: equip them and place them in your garden. While holding an item, you will see a radius indicating which plants could potentially be affected by your Night Staff or other weather-attracting device. Click or tap the plot where you wish to place the tool and await the relevant weather to impact your crops.

Although there`s no limit to the number of these items you can place, it`s not advisable to use too many at once. Having multiple active targets simultaneously will prolong the wait for plants to develop your desired mutation. Nevertheless, you can deploy various types of devices in the same area to induce as many weather effects as possible.
