Polyphony Digital`s acclaimed racing simulator, Gran Turismo 7, is set to receive a substantial `Spec III` update this December. This highly anticipated patch will introduce a host of new vehicles, circuits, and gameplay functionalities. The announcement, made during the recent PlayStation State of Play event, also highlighted a remarkable milestone for the series: total sales for the Gran Turismo franchise have now exceeded 100 million units worldwide.
The forthcoming Spec III content drop is confirmed to deliver two fresh tracks, eight additional cars, and an enhanced circuit experience. Among the most notable new features is the `data logger,` briefly showcased in the update`s trailer. This innovative tool will enable players to meticulously analyze their past races, displaying critical telemetry such as racing lines, throttle input, speed, and engine RPM through detailed graphical charts.
Currently, Gran Turismo 7 remains a PlayStation exclusive, playable solely on PS4 and PS5 consoles. Despite Sony`s increasing trend of porting its first-party titles to PC, there has been no indication or announcement regarding a PC release for this latest installment in the Gran Turismo series.
