This year`s spooky celebration introduces nine new collaborations featuring horror movies, eerie games, and even Doja Cat as the main antagonist. While many new skins and rewards will be available in the item shop, you can also earn a plethora of free Fortnitemares items, including a chilling new skin, by completing special quests. This comprehensive guide will walk you through every Fortnitemares challenge, from locating Velma`s magnifying glass to earning all the complimentary Halloween-themed items the game has to offer.
Fortnitemares Quests 2025
The Fortnitemares quest list will evolve throughout the event, which runs from October 9 to November 1. We will continuously update this guide with new challenges as they become available. Below, you`ll find detailed instructions for completing each quest.
Complete Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy`s Found Quests (4) – 10,000 XP
To begin these quests, you`ll need to locate the Mystery Inc. gang members scattered across the island during Fortnitemares.
- Shaggy can be found at the gas station west of Bugswatter Beach.
- Daphne is situated in Viney Shafts, just south of Shaggy`s location.
- Fred is by the road at the southeastern edge of Ranger`s Ruin.
- Velma is in the snowy region between Gourdy Gate and O.X.R. HQ.
Interacting with each character will initiate their individual quests. Completing all four will grant you full completion for this overarching challenge. Remember, you must complete each character`s quest within the same match you start it, as progress will reset if you exit prematurely. While these quests are timed, following this guide will ensure you finish well within the limit.
Help Shaggy – Make a Burger
Shaggy, as usual, is hungry. Your task is to prepare a burger for him. This is the simplest of the Mystery Inc. quests. Inside the gas station where Shaggy is located, your screen will highlight burger ingredients with exclamation points. Collect three ingredients by simply walking over them. Once you have them, interact with the stove behind the counter to assemble the burger. Finally, deliver the burger to Shaggy by speaking with him again to complete the quest.
Help Daphne – Find the Mystery-Solving Wardrobe
Daphne`s mystery-solving gear has been stolen, and she needs your help to find the thief. Head southwest from Daphne`s position at Viney Shafts, following the quest marker on your mini-map. On the cliff overlooking the reboot van, you will encounter the Mothman NPC. He will confess to stealing the gear, hoping it would make him a skilled enough detective to join Mystery Inc. Once you`ve heard his story, the quest is complete; there`s no need to return to Daphne.
Help Velma – Find Velma`s Magnifying Glass
Velma, located in the mountains at Crackshot`s Cabin, has misplaced her magnifying glass and requires your assistance to find it. The magnifying glass is not far; it`s located upstairs, on the right side, hidden behind a pair of large boxes. Interact with it, and Velma will promptly retrieve it and begin searching for clues, completing the quest instantly.
Help Fred – Repair the Mystery Machine
Fred`s Mystery Machine has broken down, leaving him stranded by the roadside, and he needs your help with repairs. You`ll need to gather tires and engine parts. These components can be found by traveling west down the road towards Ranger`s Rest. This named location contains all the necessary parts. Once you`ve collected them, return to Fred to finalize the quest.
Hire Scooby-Doo – 10,000 XP
Scooby-Doo himself is present on the island. You can find him with Shaggy, west of Bugswatter Beach. Speaking to Scooby allows you to hire him. Be aware that this quest can be challenging early in Fortnitemares, as many players will be attempting to hire him, and only one player per round can succeed. It`s often best to approach his location when the Battle Bus is not flying directly overhead, minimizing competition. This is a team-up quest, meaning if any member of your squad hires him, everyone in your team will complete the challenge.
Hit Different Players with Last Call (7) – 10,000 XP
Last Call is a legendary one-handed knife inspired by Ghostface from the Scream franchise. This item can exclusively be found by interacting with phone booths scattered across the island. The quickest way to locate these phone booths is by visiting any gas station. Once you acquire the Last Call knife, you simply need to use it to hit opponents seven times—perhaps once for each Scream movie!
Defeat the Mother of Thorns – 10,000 XP
The Mother of Thorns, Doja Cat`s formidable alter ego, is the primary boss of Fortnitemares 2025. To confront her, travel to one of the five Pumpkin Takeover areas. These locations are: west of Supernova Academy, the center of Viney Shafts, the center of Gourdy Gate, south of Ranger`s Ruin, and the center of Pumpkin Pass.
The Mother of Thorns spawns at only one of these locations per round. You`ll know her exact spot at the start of a match by looking for the boss icon (a crowned skull) on your map. Like most Fortnite boss battles, she is best challenged with a full and reliable team. This is a team-up quest, so your squad can work together to defeat her.
Restore Health or Gain Shields with Scooby Snacks (450) – 10,000 XP
Scooby Snacks are not uncommon and are a seasonal reskin of the familiar Dog Treats item. You can find them all over the island. To complete this quest, simply use Scooby Snacks to restore 450 points of health or shields when you are not at full capacity.
Pull Consumables with the Thorn Ripper (5) – 10,000 XP
The Thorn Ripper is another event-specific item capable of pulling objects—or even players—closer to you. This weapon is exclusively dropped by the Mother of Thorns herself, so you must defeat her to obtain it. Once acquired, use the Thorn Ripper to pull items such as health or shield consumables five times to complete this challenge.
Visit Pumpkin Takeovers with the Mother of Thorns (3) – 10,000 XP
Pumpkin Takeovers are areas on the island transformed into pumpkin patches. There are five such locations, but you only need to visit three to complete this quest. The crucial condition is that the Mother of Thorns must be present at these locations when you visit. After defeating her in her dedicated quest, she will accompany you, making it easier to complete multiple stops in a single round.
Alternatively, you can drop into any Pumpkin Takeover location where she is indicated on the map at the start of a new round. These areas are visible as orange zones with a blue highlight on your map. For reference, they are found west of Supernova Academy, in the center of Viney Shafts, in the center of Gourdy Gate, south of Ranger`s Ruin, and in the center of Pumpkin Pass. This is a team-up quest.

Fortnitemares 2025 Free Rewards
This year`s Fortnitemares event offers numerous free cosmetic items, including a terrifying skin reminiscent of a slasher movie villain. To unlock all these rewards, you must level up your account 15 times. Rewards are granted progressively as you reach certain milestones, culminating in the free skin.
