Fortnite Winterfest 2025: Complete Quest Guide and Rewards

The annual Fortnite Winterfest celebration has arrived, bringing the usual festive changes to the Battle Royale map, special gameplay adjustments, and a host of complimentary items available in the Winterfest cabin. Beyond these features, the latest update introduces two distinct sets of quests, offering significant XP rewards and an exclusive free cosmetic item obtainable by completing specific challenges.

Note: Not all Winterfest quests are immediately accessible. As of the initial launch phase (December 20th), only the first two drops of challenges were released. The Winterfest event is scheduled to conclude on January 5th.

Winterfest 2025 Quests (Battle Royale)

This primary set of challenges, found under the Winterfest section of your quest log, is specific to Battle Royale mode. These challenges are released in four time-gated groups. Each completed quest grants 12,000 XP. While a final reward for finishing the entire questline may be revealed later, these challenges expire when the event ends.

Drop 1: Gift to the Stars

Collect a Perfect Gift from a Chest

Every chest opened during Winterfest has a chance to drop a Perfect Gift. While collecting this item triggers a separate five-minute delivery quest to an NPC, for this challenge, you only need to acquire the item. The Perfect Gift does not occupy an inventory slot.

Bring a Perfect Gift to any Character

Deliver one of the Perfect Gifts to any non-hostile NPC on the map. To locate the nearest character, open your map menu and switch to the `Characters` tab.

Damage Yule Trooper or any other Boss (500 points)

Deal 500 damage points to a boss NPC. Note that players who have used a boss token to disguise themselves as bosses will not count toward this objective.

Drop 2: Passion for Presents

Bring a Perfect Gift to The Bride, Carter Wu, or Kingston

You must deliver the Perfect Gift to one of these three specific characters: The Bride (found at Sandy Strip), Carter Wu (a hireable NPC at Latte Landing), or Kingston (located near the beach at Bumpy Bay).

Travel 60 distance with Icy Feet

Icy Feet are a specialized movement item allowing quick, slippery travel. Since they can be activated and deactivated as needed, achieving the required 60 distance points should be quick and straightforward.

Search 5 Chests at Clawsy Lodge or Tiptop Terrace

These locations flank Wonkeeland. Be sure to open standard treasure chests; utility containers like ammo boxes or veggie boxes will not satisfy this requirement.

Squad Up! Quests and Exclusive Rewards

In addition to the main Winterfest challenges, a separate set of simple quests focuses on collecting **Shiny Llamas**. These quests are available in Squads, Reload, OG, or Blitz game modes.

Shiny Llamas spawn randomly whenever you open a rare chest, deploy a supply drop, or eliminate an enemy player or NPC. You receive 12,000 XP for every 100 Llamas collected, up to a maximum of 1,000 Llamas. Importantly, any Shiny Llamas collected by a teammate will count for your entire squad, making teamwork beneficial.

The Starbrite Slasher Pickaxe

This quest line offers a coveted cosmetic item: collecting 400 Shiny Llamas will award the **Starbrite Slasher pickaxe**. This pickaxe has been dormant in Fortnite game files for almost two years. For players who purchased the Lego starter pack that includes the Brite Agent skin, this is the first opportunity to acquire the matching harvesting tool.
