Fortnite is transitioning to Chapter 6 Season 4 following a shorter-than-usual summer season. Players are currently unable to access the game as Epic Games has taken servers offline for maintenance to deploy the new season update. Here`s what you need to know about when Fortnite servers are expected to be back online.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 Server Return Time
While typical Fortnite patches usually require three to four hours of downtime, a new season launch is a more substantial undertaking. For a major season update, Fortnite servers are generally offline for at least four hours, and sometimes significantly longer. For instance, the Chapter 5 Season 2 launch last year saw an 18-hour outage. Assuming a smooth deployment, Fortnite is anticipated to be back online no earlier than 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET.
Once Fortnite servers are live again, the new season, hinted at in recent trailers, will officially begin. This season promises a late 90s/early 2000s vibe, featuring exciting collaborations, including Halo and Power Rangers, alongside other unrevealed content from Epic. The `bug takeover` will commence immediately upon server restoration, introducing a new battle pass with various skins, new weapons, map alterations, and likely new movement mechanics. Personally, I often prioritize these fun movement items over carrying many weapons, much to the chagrin of my squad.
Regardless of your playstyle, Fortnite`s `Shock `N Awesome` Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to launch early on August 7. We`ll see you on the island!
