Fortnite’s Power Rangers Teaser: A Morphin’ Good Time!

When Epic Games announced the inclusion of a Halo Spartan in the upcoming battle pass, many presumed it was the season`s primary collaboration. However, it turned out this was merely the beginning. It has now been revealed that both Power Rangers and a Megazord will feature in the pass. Additionally, a bundle of other Power Rangers will be available in the item shop. Epic Games unveiled this news with an impressive live-action trailer, depicting the Rangers battling a bug invasion that is set to be a central theme of Fortnite`s new season.

Beyond the Power Rangers themselves, the teaser also offered glimpses of three new weapons slated for the new season: the Swarmstrike rocket launcher, capable of firing multiple rockets simultaneously; a new laser pistol; and a notably large new minigun, which the Red Ranger wields with acrobatic flair. The trailer also seemed to hint at a new battle pass skin – a character with robotic arms controlled via a gamepad, a fitting complement to the recently introduced Ron-troller skin.

This wave of announcements confirms several significant recent leaks. Specifically, the Green Ranger, Tommy Oliver, is set to be the ultimate skin unlocked at the end of the linear battle pass, while a Megazord skin will become available mid-season on September 16. It`s also anticipated that a large, player-controlled Megazord, akin to the current Superman ability, might appear on the Battle Royale map around that time. The trailer`s description further indicates that a Power Ranger skin bundle, featuring the Red, Black, Yellow, Pink, and Blue Rangers, will be released in the item shop. Perhaps the most exciting inclusion in this bundle is a jam track of the show`s classic theme song.

The new season of Fortnite Battle Royale is scheduled to commence on Thursday, August 7.
