Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, a title that has been a PlayStation console exclusive for several years, is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 in early 2026. While the game`s blend of real-time combat and action-RPG elements can offer a significant challenge, players looking to enjoy the narrative without combat stress will now have the option to enable `Streamlined Progression`.
This new `Streamlined Progression` mode is designed to make Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade even more accessible than the traditional `classic combat` setting, which typically slows down the action for menu-based tactical input. With `Streamlined Progression` active, players will benefit from unlimited MP and HP at all times, perpetually full Limit and ATB gauges during battles, and every attack will deal a consistent and formidable 9,999 points of damage.
Additionally, this mode grants players a faster weapon ability charge rate and ensures that, with very few exceptions, they will always possess the maximum quantity of all items. The flexibility of this feature allows it to be toggled on or off at any moment directly from the main menu, catering to different playstyles.

Square Enix has also announced several appealing preorder bonuses for the launch of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on these new platforms. Those who preorder the digital edition will receive the original Final Fantasy VII game as a complimentary download (this offer is available until January 31, 2026). For physical edition preorders, a special 15-card Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster pack will be included.
Although a concrete release date is still pending, Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also be coming to Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S in the future. Regarding the final chapter of the remake trilogy, producer Tetsuya Nomura recently shared that Square Enix already knows the exact timing for its official reveal.
While fans await these highly anticipated releases, JRPG enthusiasts can explore other upcoming titles to satisfy their gaming cravings, such as Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and Octopath Traveler 0.
