Final Fantasy 7 Remake PS5 Physical Edition Hits New Low Price

The physical edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade for PlayStation 5 is currently on sale at Amazon for just $30. This offer is also available at GameStop, though shipping costs may apply unless you choose in-store pickup. Target previously had this deal but is now sold out.

Square Enix reissued the physical PS5 edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake earlier this year. The game had been out of print for years, surprisingly remaining so even as FF7 Rebirth approached its February release. This scarcity led to inflated prices on the secondary market. While its re-release was positive, the $70 price tag felt high given the game`s age. At $30, however, it becomes a far more attractive purchase.

This reduced price may be temporary. Other retailers, such as Best Buy and Walmart, are selling the game for $60 and $55, respectively. Therefore, if a physical copy is desired, it`s recommended to act quickly. For players simply looking to experience the game, the digital version is available on the PlayStation Store for $15.19 until July 31.

About Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a visually spectacular reinterpretation of the 1997 classic. Primarily set in the initial Midgar chapters of Final Fantasy 7, the remake provides Cloud Strife and the Avalanche crew with a significant graphical overhaul as they strive to prevent Shinra Inc. from consuming the planet`s life force as an energy source. The past resurfaces to challenge Cloud and his allies, and towards the game`s end, the storyline undergoes major changes that disrupt established norms.

The Intermission expansion centers on Yuffie Kisaragi and her partner Sonon Kusakabe as they attempt to steal a powerful artifact from Shinra. This short but engaging add-on to the main Final Fantasy 7 Remake campaign also introduced various technical and graphical enhancements to the game. While the game is largely linear—with some minor padding—Final Fantasy 7 Remake is unlikely to disappoint fans looking to re-immerse themselves in the cyberpunk realm of Square Enix`s beloved sci-fantasy title.

It should be noted that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is slated for a Nintendo Switch 2 port, although a release date has not yet been confirmed.

Final Fantasy Material Ultimania Books on Sale

Dedicated Final Fantasy 7 fans might consider the official `Material Ultimania` book, which focuses on the PS5 version of FF7 Remake. Published last November, Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania Plus offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of this acclaimed RPG. Typically priced at $40, the hardcover edition is currently available for $29 on Amazon. Furthermore, you can save $15 on the initial Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania book, reducing its price to $25. This 336-page hardcover centers on the original PS4 version of FF7 Remake.

Another re-release that may interest Final Fantasy fans is the Final Fantasy I-VI Collection, which comprises the Pixel Remasters of the first six mainline games. Initially launched with a highly limited print run, new copies for PS4 and Nintendo Switch were released last October.

Although the Nintendo Switch version sold out on Amazon during Prime Day, it remains available at GameStop for its Prime Day price of $45. The PS4 version is out of stock at most retailers, but a copy can still be purchased for $58.65 on Amazon.

The collection features the Pixel Remaster editions of the first six Final Fantasy games and a sticker sheet of Final Fantasy character sprites. Square Enix meticulously remodeled the sprites using the original pixel art as a foundation, and series composer Nobuo Uematsu oversaw the work on the rearranged soundtracks.

Fans of Final Fantasy`s pixel art era should also consider `FF Dot: The Pixel Art of Final Fantasy,` which is discounted to $17 (originally $25) on Amazon.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Deal

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second installment in the FF7 Remake trilogy, was released last year, significantly broadening its concepts and incorporating several open-world environments for exploration. If you are also interested in purchasing it, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for PS5 is on sale for $54 (originally $70) at Walmart. Rebirth was ported to PC earlier this year, and Square Enix intends to bring it to Switch 2 as well.
