Bethesda has announced a significant upcoming update for Fallout 76, known as the C.A.M.P. Revamp. This update is specifically designed to enhance the game`s base-building mechanics and streamline the entire workshop menu system for a more intuitive experience.
In a recent developer preview, Bethesda`s creative director Jon Rush provided a detailed look at the C.A.M.P. Revamp. The preview highlighted new streamlined menus aimed at making it much faster for players to locate specific items. Furthermore, the update introduces innovative new tools and revised building rules that grant players greater freedom.
We`re getting rid of our rules regarding placement, allowing you to toggle snapping, intersecting, and free-place anywhere. We see and hear you, sky campers.
This change directly addresses a long-standing player frustration: current restrictions prevent building certain modules and items on floating foundations, complicating the creation of elevated “sky bases.” The C.A.M.P. Revamp promises to simplify the construction of sky CAMPs and, hopefully, also improve placement on the game`s often uneven terrain.
Players won`t have to wait long, as the C.A.M.P. Revamp update is scheduled to arrive in Fallout 76 on September 2. Beyond the immediate improvements, Jon Rush also teased future community CAMP-building contests later in the year, hinting at “huge” prizes for participants.
