Bandai Namco has unveiled “Deep of Night,” an upcoming game mode for Elden Ring Nightreign, slated for release on September 11. This new addition is specifically designed to provide a more intense experience for seasoned players, featuring significantly tougher adversaries.
The “Deep of Night” mode was officially confirmed on Bandai Namco`s website, following earlier data-mining reports suggesting it might be a ranked option for Elden Ring Nightreign. In this heightened difficulty setting, player successes and failures will directly influence their `depth` progression. While the announcement encourages players to conquer Depth 3, it highlights that the fourth and fifth levels present an “endless battle” for those craving ultimate thrills.
Unique mechanics await in this challenging mode, such as the inability to freely select a target Nightlord and the introduction of exclusive “Depths Relics.” Furthermore, weapons will feature distinct properties, including various additional and potentially disadvantageous effects.
In other news for Elden Ring Nightreign, a two-player co-op mode was implemented in July. The action-RPG, which launched in late May, has already shipped over 5 million units globally. Additionally, an Elden Ring film adaptation is currently in development at A24, with “Annihilation” director Alex Garland at the helm, known for his deep familiarity with the game.
