Fortnite`s upcoming Halloween event, Fortnitemares 2025, is set to feature a major new addition: celebrity singer Doja Cat, who will join the game as a formidable boss.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Doja Cat participated in a game where she had to identify whether various Fortnite skin names were real or fabricated. The final name in this challenge directly led to the official unveiling of her Fortnite character: The Mother of Thorns, described as a `trickster, enchantress, and sorceress,` with her likeness faithfully recreated in-game.
The segment concluded with Doja Cat seated on a real-life replica of The Mother of Thorns` throne. Beyond her role as an NPC boss in Fortnitemares 2025, which is anticipated to launch on October 9, Fortnite leaker NotPaloleaks reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Doja Cat-themed cosmetic items, including two skins and two emotes, will be available in the Fortnite Shop.
While this marks Doja Cat`s debut as a playable character in Fortnite, the game has previously featured several of her emotes and Jam Tracks.
Fortnitemares 2025 promises a flurry of horror-themed collaborations for the spooky season. The festivities will commence with a KPop Demon Hunters takeover today, before the main event officially begins next week.
According to rumors and alleged leaks, Fortnite players might also anticipate the arrival of iconic characters such as Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Ghostface from Scream, and even Scooby-Doo characters as new skins.
