Diablo 4 Takes To The Stars With StarCraft Crossover

Blizzard is bringing two of its iconic franchises together once more! The futuristic universe of StarCraft is making its way into Diablo 4, introducing premium, class-specific cosmetic items that draw inspiration from the beloved characters of the real-time strategy series.

Between September 26th and October 10th, players will find a selection of StarCraft-themed cosmetics in Diablo 4`s in-game store. This includes unique items for each of the game`s six classes, a Zerg-themed mount, and a miniature Hydralisk pet. While exact pricing hasn`t been disclosed by Blizzard, past crossover events, like the Berserk one, suggest these bundles might cost approximately $28 each.

Each cosmetic skin is tailored to a specific Diablo 4 class and embodies a prominent character from the StarCraft universe, instantly recognizable to fans. These include:

  • Barbarian – Jim Raynor
  • Necromancer – Zagara
  • Rogue – Zeratul
  • Sorcerer – Tassadar
  • Druid – Arcturus Mengsk
  • Spiritborn – Kerrigan

The mount bundle features a Zergling, complete with distinct mount armor and two Zerg-inspired mount trophies. Additionally, a pet bundle is available, offering a mini Hydralisk, an exclusive emblem, and the Relic of Zerus mount trophy.

In contrast to Diablo 4`s less-than-stellar Berserk crossover from earlier this year, this event doesn`t include a free StarCraft Battle Pass Reliquary for earning rewards through in-game currency. Instead, Blizzard is generously offering several free emblems and weapon skins that require no grinding and can be claimed directly from the in-game shop. A Protoss-themed bundle will become available on September 26th, followed by a Terran Dominion bundle on September 27th, and a Zerg bundle on September 28th. All these free bundles can be claimed until October 10th.

Furthermore, three free StarCraft emblems can be acquired through Twitch Drops. Players must accumulate six hours of watching Diablo 4 streams to unlock all three.

This isn`t the inaugural instance of another Blizzard franchise appearing in Diablo 4. Earlier, Blizzard introduced Warcraft-themed cosmetics to commemorate World of Warcraft`s 20th anniversary.

This marks Blizzard`s second internal crossover for its action RPG, arriving soon after the debut of Diablo 4 Season 10. The new season revamps the Infernal Hordes endgame activity and introduces a potent new tier of Unique items known as Chaos Armor. Diablo 4`s next major expansion is slated for release in 2026.
