Delta Force: Understanding Cross-Play and Cross-Progression

Delta Force is a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter (FPS) featuring intense 32v32 matches across three distinct game modes. Given the large player count per match, cross-play support is crucial for ensuring a healthy player base and enabling friends to team up across different platforms. This article will delve into how cross-play functions in Delta Force, alongside an explanation of its cross-progression system.

Does Delta Force Support Cross-Play?

Yes, Delta Force offers cross-play capabilities. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC can all play together. However, mobile versions (iOS and Android) are separate and only support cross-play between themselves, meaning console/PC players cannot join matches with mobile users.

Console players can manage their cross-play preferences via Settings > Game. To play with PC users, this option must be enabled. If you prefer to limit matches to console players only, you can disable it. Notably, PC players do not have a cross-play toggle and will always be matched in lobbies that may include console players.

Is Cross-Progression Available in Delta Force?

Cross-progression in Delta Force has a few nuances. Its functionality is tied to the Level Infinite Pass (LIPASS), and overlooking certain steps can prevent you from utilizing this feature across platforms.

For existing PC or mobile Delta Force players, a LIPASS account is mandatory. When launching the game on console for the first time, it`s crucial to immediately sign in with your existing LIPASS account. Failing to link your account at this stage will prevent cross-progression.

New console players who have not previously played Delta Force on other platforms should create a LIPASS account when prompted during the initial game setup. Skipping this step will bind your progress exclusively to that console, making future cross-platform progression impossible.

Console players who are absolutely certain they will never play Delta Force on any other device may opt out of creating a LIPASS account. However, be aware that this decision is irreversible; your progress will remain confined to that specific console if you ever decide to play elsewhere.
