D&D Fans Can Save 50% on the Dragonlance Chronicles Omnibus

The “Dragonlance Chronicles” trilogy, one of the most beloved book series in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, is once again readily available to fans. For years, finding physical copies of these books at a reasonable price was incredibly difficult. However, this changed thanks to Random House Worlds, which reissued the original trilogy as a single omnibus earlier this year. This 1,056-page hardcover quickly became a New York Times Bestseller upon launch and sold out multiple times at major retailers. D&D enthusiasts now have an excellent opportunity to acquire this stunning omnibus at nearly half price on Amazon and Walmart. Instead of the usual $35, “Dragonlance Chronicles” is currently on sale for just $18.51.

The “Dragonlance Chronicles” omnibus includes three classic fantasy novels co-authored by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman:

  • “Dragons of Autumn Twilight” (1984)
  • “Dragons of Winter Night” (1985)
  • “Dragons of Spring Dawning” (1985)

As noted, the trilogy had been out of print for a significant period before Random House Worlds reissued it on February 4th; the last standalone edition of “Dragons of Autumn Twilight” was published back in 2006. The “Chronicles” arc is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the broader Dragonlance book series, making its reissue as an affordable omnibus truly fantastic news.

In addition to captivating new cover art, the “Dragonlance Chronicles” edition features a foreword by actor Joe Manganiello, a well-known D&D devotee. Manganiello also recently contributed to the design of an expansion for HeroQuest, a tabletop board game inspired by D&D.

The series is set within the official Dragonlance campaign setting for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons First and Second Editions, which itself originated from Hickman and Weis` D&D sessions in the early 1980s. This high fantasy trilogy follows a band of adventurers caught in an epic conflict known as the War of the Lance. The trilogy was published alongside numerous other official D&D works set in the Dragonlance universe, including adventure modules, spin-off board games, video games, and more.

While the “Dragonlance Chronicles” trilogy formed the official storyline for the original AD&D Dragonlance modules, subsequent D&D editions have also incorporated official modules and expansions set in the Dragonlance universe, including the most recent Fifth Edition. Beyond official game materials, the series has inspired over 190 spin-off novels, including two sequels to the original trilogy: “Dragonlance Chronicles: The Second Generation” and “Dragons of Summer Flame.” Physical copies of these books are expensive nowadays, but Kindle and Audible editions are available at standard prices.

    • Audible — $21
