CoD: Black Ops 6 Reckoning Zombies Map Adds Parachutes And Upgradable Traps

The highly anticipated Season 5 update for Call of Duty, launching on August 7, will introduce `Reckoning` as the conclusive Zombies map for Black Ops 6. Treyarch recently unveiled a video showcasing the map`s exciting new features, such as parachutes, enhanceable traps, and an all-new Wonder Weapon.

Treyarch`s comprehensive video explores the `Reckoning` map, set within the imposing Janus Towers at Liberty Falls. Players will combat the undead across three towering structures, utilizing teleporters, anti-gravity launchers, and, for the first time in a traditional round-based Zombies map, parachutes for navigation.

Intriguingly, sections of the `Reckoning` map will incorporate low-gravity mechanics. This includes the Pack-a-Punch room, where the machine itself, along with some zombies, can be observed floating.

A significant addition is the ability to upgrade defensive traps using a new in-map device called the `Caster`. The preview highlighted a wall-mounted cannon, firing dark aether energy, which can be enhanced with collected parts to boost its efficacy.

The unique Wonder Weapon for `Reckoning` was also showcased: the `Gorgofex`. This pistol-style weapon discharges Aether-based energy and can be upgraded twice for increased power.

Finally, `Uberklaus` is introduced as the map`s new elite enemy. This formidable foe presents a two-phase encounter: initially battling players from within a massive mech suit, before ejecting to continue the fight on foot once sufficient damage is dealt.

This thrilling Zombies conclusion coincides with a broader Season 5 update, bringing new content to Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Warzone. Multiplayer will receive new maps and modes, while Warzone`s Stadium POI rooftop will finally become accessible as a new play area.
