Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 recently received an important update focused primarily on enhancing the player experience through quality-of-life improvements, alongside a major boost in performance and visual fidelity. The update introduces support for frame generation and low-latency modes for DLSS and XeSS on compatible PC GPUs, promising smoother gameplay and reduced input lag. Developer Sandfall also mentioned that FSR support is still under consideration and will require more development time, with future announcements expected.
Among the most welcomed quality-of-life additions is the `Battle Retry Prompt.` Players who strive for completion and dislike being returned to the overworld after a failed boss encounter will appreciate this new option, which allows for a quick restart of the battle.
Dialogue scenes are also more comfortable now, thanks to an optional autoplay feature for conversations outside of cutscenes. Furthermore, new separate volume sliders have been added, enabling players to independently adjust audio levels for exploration and combat phases. The Pictos menu has been improved to clearly display the Lumina cost of each ability, aiding in better strategic planning.
For a comprehensive list of all changes, please refer to the detailed patch notes below:
