During the recent Call of Duty: Next event, Activision unveiled a series of significant announcements concerning the popular first-person shooter franchise, including crucial updates for Call of Duty: Warzone.
Introducing Haven`s Hollow, the New Resurgence Map
Firstly, Activision confirmed that the integration of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 into Warzone will commence with Season 1. This will introduce a brand-new Resurgence map named Haven`s Hollow. It has been revealed that this map will be smaller than Fortune`s Keep but larger than Rebirth Island.

The map is set in Liberty Falls – a town familiar from Black Ops 6 Zombies, but before the zombie outbreak. Consequently, the map lacks a zombie aesthetic; instead, it features vibrant colors and offers numerous interesting points of interest to explore. High Moon Studios was responsible for the map`s design and development.
Verdansk Remains as Warzone`s Primary Map
Another significant Warzone announcement from the Call of Duty: Next event confirmed that the game`s very first map, Verdansk, will remain the primary map. However, it won`t be identical to what players remember, as two new Points of Interest (POIs), Factory and Signal Station, have been added.
Verdansk was the original Warzone map when the game launched in 2020. It was available until 2021, then removed, and brought back earlier this year. Its return prompted a significant influx of players to Warzone, making Activision`s decision to keep it as the primary map entirely understandable.
Upcoming Gameplay Adjustments
Gameplay updates are also anticipated for Warzone. Here`s a summary of the confirmed changes:
- Weapon attachments will be limited to five, and `Wildcards` will be removed.
- Tactical sprint is now only accessible via the `Sprinter` perk.
- The combat roll ability from Black Ops 7 will be introduced to Warzone through the `Mountaineer` perk.
- There will be more ground loot available on the map.
All these changes were confirmed by Charlie Intel.
